Facts: Never mind the shape or size of a natural Quartz Crystal, which forms a six-sided Crystal, the two opposite side are ALWAYS parallel and the angle of each adjacent  face is always identical for every crystal (110 degree)   QUARTZ is the only common minerals formed exclusively by silicon and oxygen. Even when it contains iron, manganese, titanium that gives the different colours - amethyst, citrine, smoky, and so on, those elements are only present as ionic substitution so the formula is still SiO2.  Wonderful,  Powerful, Lovely QUARTZ
